Nuestra SeƱora de Atocha (1622)
circa 1620
A pair of needle-nose or long-nose pliers from the galleon Atocha were used for grabbing and holding small objects. They would have been useful in the repair of things like gun parts and jewelry and for reaching objects in crevices and holes. The wrought iron hand tool is very pitted and missing tips as well as 40% of one handle.
